UAV LiDAR - also searched as drone LIDAR - can support flood-model terrain, erosion assessment, rehabilitation monitoring, vegetation structure, infrastructure mapping and catchment-scale investigation. RTK and PPK control, strip alignment, advanced ground/vegetation classification, terrain conditioning and quality checks are matched to the intended use of the data.
FWS also provides high-resolution mapping, photography, drone videography, repeat videography, multispectral capture and thermal drone surveys. Nocturnal drone surveys and drone fauna surveys can target koala, greater glider, bettong and echidna, pest animals including deer, rabbit, feral cat, wild dog and pig, and livestock counts such as cattle. Spatial outputs are treated as analytical evidence, with uncertainty, change and practical interpretation considered alongside the final maps or models.
