What FWS Can Help With.
TUFLOW modelling can be used to map flood depth, velocity, hazard and afflux, test infrastructure options and understand how site changes affect flood behaviour. HEC-RAS assessment can support river hydraulics, crossings, environmental flows and sediment transport capacity investigations.
Flood studies can be integrated with UAV LiDAR terrain, geomorphic assessment, mine water management and PRCP requirements. This is particularly valuable where hydraulic behaviour, erosion processes, infrastructure and closure landforms need to be considered together rather than as separate tasks.
